The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) scheme protects employees against the impact of sickness, maternity, disablement, and death due to employment injury. It provides full medical care to the insured person and their immediate dependents at ESI hospitals and dispensaries.

Eligibility Criteria

Employees drawing wages up to Rs. 21,000 per month (Rs. 25,000 for persons with disabilities) in factories/establishments with 10 or more employees.

Application Process

Employers are responsible for registering eligible employees on the ESIC portal. Once registered, the employee receives an insurance number and can download the e-Pehchan card to avail medical benefits.
