The Electors Photo Identity Card (EPIC) is issued by the Election Commission of India. It grants the fundamental right to vote in democratic elections and acts as a major identity and address proof. The new e-EPIC allows voters to download a secure PDF version of their card.
Eligibility Criteria
Indian citizens who are 18 years of age or older as of the qualifying dates (1st Jan, 1st Apr, 1st Jul, 1st Oct) and are ordinary residents of the polling area.
Required Documents
- Recent Passport Size Photograph
- Age Proof (Aadhaar, Birth Certificate, 10th Marksheet)
- Address Proof (Aadhaar, Ration Card, Utility Bill, Indian Passport)

Application Process
1. Download the Voter Helpline App or visit voters.eci.gov.in.
2. Sign up and select ‘New Voter Registration (Form 6)’.
3. Fill personal, family, and address details.
4. Upload documents.
5. A BLO will verify the details, and the EPIC will be sent via speed post.
