Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) is a 100% Central Sector Scheme aimed at supplementing the financial needs of farmers for procuring agricultural inputs and crop health. Eligible farmers receive Rs. 6,000 annually, transferred directly via DBT in three equal installments of Rs. 2,000 every four months.

Eligibility Criteria

All landholding farmer families with cultivable land in their names. Exclusions: Institutional landholders, farmers holding constitutional posts, active/retired government employees (except Class IV/Multi-Tasking Staff), income tax payers, and pensioners receiving > Rs.10,000/month.

Required Documents

• Aadhaar Card (Mandatory for eKYC)

Application Process

1. Visit pmkisan.gov.in.

2. Click ‘New Farmer Registration’ under Farmers Corner.

3. Enter Aadhaar and complete OTP verification.

4. Fill personal, bank, and land details.

5. Upload land documents and submit. eKYC must be completed periodically.
