The Annapurna Yojana is targeted at the poorest of the poor who are not covered under the National Old Age Pension Scheme (NOAPS). Under this scheme, eligible destitute senior citizens are provided 10 kgs of food grains free of cost every month, ensuring no one goes hungry.
Eligibility Criteria
Must be a destitute citizen aged 65 years or above. The applicant must have little or no regular means of subsistence and must not be in receipt of a pension under NOAPS or state old-age pension.

- Aadhaar Card
- Age Proof
- Income/Destitute Certificate from Gram Panchayat
- Digital Ration Card (if applicable)
Application Process
1. Identify yourself to the Gram Panchayat or Municipality.
2. The Gram Sabha selects eligible beneficiaries.
3. Applications are forwarded to the BDO/SDO for approval.
4. Approved names are registered in the state social registry for free grain distribution.
