The National Scholarship Portal (NSP) is a one-stop, digitized platform for all government scholarships—Pre-Matric, Post-Matric, Merit-cum-Means, and UGC/AICTE schemes. It handles everything from student application and application receipt, to processing, sanction, and disbursal of scholarships directly to bank accounts via DBT.
Eligibility Criteria
Varies heavily by scheme. Generally targets minority communities, SC/ST/OBC students, disabled students, and single girl children who meet specific academic (e.g., >50% marks) and family income thresholds.

Application Process
1. Visit scholarships.gov.in.
2. Complete One Time Registration (OTR).
3. Login using OTR ID and select the scholarship scheme you are eligible for.
4. Fill the comprehensive form and upload scanned documents.
5. Submit. Track status as it routes through institute, district, and state nodal officers.
