Managed by the Backward Classes Welfare Department, the Oasis Scholarship portal provides financial assistance to marginalized students (SC, ST, and OBC) to reduce dropout rates and encourage them to pursue higher education. It covers maintenance allowance and tuition fees.

Eligibility Criteria

Students must belong to SC, ST, or OBC categories in WB. Must be studying in class 9 or above. Family income limit: Rs. 2 Lakh/annum for SC/ST and Rs. 1 Lakh/annum for OBC.

Required Documents

  • Caste Certificate
  • Income Certificate (issued by competent authority)
  • Previous Year Marksheet
  • Bank Passbook (Aadhaar Seeded)
  • Fee Receipt

Application Process

1. Visit oasis.gov.in.

2. Click on ‘Student Registration’ and choose your district.

3. Verify your caste certificate details online.

4. Fill the complete application and lock it.

5. Print the application, attach documents, and submit it to the BDO/Municipality/Institution.
