Rupashree Prakalpa aims to mitigate the difficulties faced by poor families in bearing the expenditure of their daughter’s marriage. The state provides a one-time financial grant of Rs. 25,000 directly to the bride’s bank account before her marriage.

Eligibility Criteria

The bride must be a resident of WB, at least 18 years old at the time of marriage (groom must be 21+). Family income must not exceed Rs. 1.5 Lakh per annum. It must be the bride’s first marriage.

Required Documents

• Age Proof of Bride and Groom (Birth Cert/Admit Card)
• Unmarried Declaration
• Income Certificate
• Single Bank Account Passbook of Bride
• Proof of Marriage (Invitation Card)

Application Process

1. Collect the application form from BDO / SDO / Municipal office.

2. Submit the completely filled form with all documents at least 30-60 days before the marriage date.

3. An inquiry officer will conduct a physical verification of the marriage.

4. Fund is transferred before the wedding date.
