Swasthya Sathi is a revolutionary health insurance scheme by the GoWB providing cashless medical treatment for secondary and tertiary care at empaneled public and private hospitals. Uniquely, the card is issued in the name of the eldest female member of the family, promoting women’s empowerment.

Eligibility Criteria

Every resident family of West Bengal is eligible, irrespective of income. The family must not be covered under other government health insurance schemes (like CGHS) or receive medical allowance as part of their salary.

  • Aadhaar Card of all family members
  • Khadya Sathi (Digital Ration) Card
  • Mobile Number

Application Process

1. Obtain Form B from a Duare Sarkar camp or BDO office.

2. Fill the form with details of all family members.

3. Submit at the Duare Sarkar camp.

4. Biometrics and photographs are captured on the spot.

5. The Smart Card is handed over instantly.
