West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) manages the power supply for most of the state (excluding CESC areas). The portal and ‘Vidyut Sahayogi’ app allow consumers to pay bills, register complaints, submit meter readings, and apply for new domestic/commercial connections online.

Eligibility Criteria

Any resident or business requiring an electricity connection in the WBSEDCL command area.

Required Documents

• Property Ownership Proof (Deed, Tax Receipt, or Rent Agreement)
• Identity Proof (Aadhaar, Voter ID)
• Passport Size Photograph

Application Process

1. Visit wbsedcl.in.

2. For new connection: Go to ‘Consumer Corner’ > ‘Apply for New Connection’. Fill details, upload documents, and pay the quotation amount online.

3. For bill payment: Click ‘Online Payment’, enter Consumer ID, and pay via UPI/Card/NetBanking.
